PTI govt has given 30pc more uplift funds to Sindh, claims Sheikh

KARACHI:PTI federal government is the only government which has given 30 percent more development funds to Sindh province as compared to all other governments, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI Vice President and the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh here Sunday.

In his reaction to the letter of Sindh chief minister to Prime Minister Imran Khan and statements of the PPP leaders, he said the sitting government of Sindh had snatched basic facilities of life from the people of Sindh. He said: “Sindh chief minister either does not know the facts, or he wants to mislead the people. The PTI government has given Sindh more development funds than any other government. The PPP government is baffled as why the federal government is giving more funds to this province.”

Sheikh said the ethnic politics of the PPP would die. Sheikh said: “PPP now believes that their defective chairman is not able even for a post of night watchman, what to speak about the office of the prime minister. Prime Minister Imran Khan gave Sindh two development packages in one year. A fund of more than Rs1000 billion was given to urban and rural areas which is to be spent in three years.”

He said after this announcement, work on ground had already been started. He said federal minister Asad Omer had inaugurated many projects. He said from the funds of the federal government, development work was in progress in 18 districts of Sindh. He said in Karachi, the federal government was working on K-4, Green Line, rainstorm drains and other infrastructure projects. He alleged that Sindh government committed corruption in the K-4 project.

Sheikh said that the federal government tagged Rs98 billion for Multan-Sukkur Motorway and Rs200 billion for Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway. He said the PPP governments during last 50 years did not allocate even one penny for motorways of Sindh. He said the federal government had tagged Rs8 billion for universities of Sindh. He said more than Rs11 billion are tagged for projects of Hesco and Sepco. He said the PTI government gave more funds to Sindh in Ihsas Program than any other province.

He said the Sindh government did not give NOC for upgrading of the universities of Sindh, which was an enmity to this province. He said the politics of PPP was based on hatred and Sindh card would die soon.

He said it was continuous third government of PPP in Sindh but the province was without basic facilities including healthcare, education and clean water. He said the PPP leaders looted money from Sindh and made properties in Switzerland, Dubai and London. He said that the end of the PPP government in Sindh had already begun.
