Lahore, In a collaborative operation between the Punjab Police and Interpol Islamabad, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl abducted from Sialkot was safely recovered in Dubai, and the suspected kidnapper was arrested. This operation is part of a broader crackdown led by Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, targeting fugitives abroad.

According to Punjab Police, the suspect, Mahmuda Akhtar, fled to Dubai after kidnapping Mirab Javed. Concurrently, another fugitive, Muhammad Farooq, involved in a homicide in Lala Musa, Gujarat, was also apprehended as he attempted to flee to Pakistan. These arrests bring the total number of fugitives captured abroad to 37 this year. Dr. Anwar commended RPO Gujranwala Tayyab Hafeez Cheema and his team for their efforts in apprehending these individuals and emphasized the importance of swift legal proceedings to ensure justice.
