QUETTA: Dostain Jamaldini, Secretary, Local Government and Rural Development Department, has said, “Quetta is our joint home and as such it is our responsibility to keep it neat and clean”. These views were expressed by him during visit to Trenching Ground and Bakra Peri here on Saturday.
Emphasizing the need for extending cooperation to the staff of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) to make the city clean, he urged the masses that instead of throwing garbage here and there, the garbage be thrown in the areas specified by QMC for its collection and subsequent disposal, adding that on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha, it would be ensured to provide the required facilities to Bakra Peri of Quetta so that people might not confront hardships.
He said that four new slaughter houses were being constructed in different areas of the province as the existing slaughter houses did cater to the requirements. On the occasion, Administrator, Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, Abdul Jabbar Baloch, Ashfaq Badini, Anwar Lehri, Sarwar Zehri and others were also present.
