Rain, wind, and thunderstorms predicted in Northern Pakistan and Occupied Kashmir

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and adjoining hilly areas during the next 24 hours.

PMD also forecast partly cloudy skies in these areas. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in other parts of Pakistan. Wednesday morning’s temperature recordings are: Islamabad 26°C, Lahore 30°C, Karachi and Peshawar 27°C, Quetta 19°C, Gilgit 18°C and Murree and Muzaffarabad both 23°C.

Across the Line of Control in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Met Office has forecast partly cloudy skies with chances of rain and thunderstorms. This weather pattern is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, and Jammu. This morning’s temperatures in these areas were: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramulla 16°C, Jammu 26°C, Leh 7°C, Anantnag 17°C, and Shopian 15°C.
