The meteorological department has forecast rain with thunderstorms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Islamabad, and upper Punjab during the next 24 hours. Despite the expected rain, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry in other parts of the country.
In the morning, temperatures were recorded at 19 degrees Celsius in Islamabad and Quetta, 25 degrees in Lahore, 28 degrees in Karachi, 23 degrees in Peshawar, 14 degrees in Gilgit, 15 degrees in Murree, and 18 degrees in Muzaffarabad.
On the other hand, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, meteorologists have forecast partly cloudy skies, strong winds, and rain with thunderstorms in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Shopian, Anantnag, and Baramulla. Morning temperatures remained significantly low, with 11 degrees recorded in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian, 20 degrees in Jammu, a cold 3 degrees in Leh, and 10 degrees in Pulwama and Baramulla.
Meteorologists advise residents of the affected areas to take necessary precautionary measures.
