Rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds predicted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir

The Meteorological Department has announced that another spell of hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over most parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours. However, rain-thundershowers with gusty winds are expected to bring relief to some places in Northeast Punjab, Potohar Region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir.

On Monday morning, varying temperatures were recorded in major cities. Islamabad experienced 24°C, while Lahore and Karachi recorded 27°C. Peshawar witnessed the highest temperature among major cities at 30°C. Quetta and Muzaffarabad recorded 25°C, while Gilgit and Murree experienced 18°C and 17°C, respectively.

Across the Line of Control in illegally Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forecast predicts rain-thundershowers with gusty winds at several places, including Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla with partly cloudy skies.

Temperatures in the region varied Monday morning. Srinagar, Baramulla, and Shopian recorded 18°C. Jammu experienced 26°C, while Leh recorded the lowest temperature at 11°C. Pulwama and Anantnag recorded 17°C.
