KARACHI:A Rangers official was martyred and 10 persons, including two security persons, were injured in a blast that happened in Orangi area of the city on Monday.
According to reports, a bomb-planted in a bike exploded near a Rangers vehicle in Orangi area of the city. As a result, 11 persons, including three Rangers personnel, were injured, one of them seriously. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, a Rangers official breathed his last.
A bomb disposal squad team rushed to the scene and controlled the situation. They also collected evidences. Panic gripped the area soon after the explosion. It was reported that Rangers vehicle came under attack while passing through the area. Heavy contingents of police and Rangers rushed to the scene.
