Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam has issued a stern warning against irresponsible driving, saying, “Life is precious; it should not be wasted in road accidents.” This warning comes as traffic authorities have intensified an awareness campaign across the city to prevent avoidable road accidents.
Under the directives of the CTO, the Traffic Education Unit is actively engaging with commuters on the highways. Personnel are distributing informational pamphlets among road users, aiming to foster a better understanding of traffic laws.
The in-charge of the Education Unit emphasized that adherence to road laws is crucial to avoid accidents. “Without following traffic laws, better traffic flow and prevention of road accidents are not possible,” the official said. He further added, “Observance of traffic laws is a guarantee of a safe journey.”
The official further stated that a complete knowledge of traffic regulations and their implementation are essential prerequisites for safe driving on the city’s highways.
Echoing these sentiments, CTO Aslam highlighted the civic responsibility of every driver. “Understanding traffic laws and adhering to them responsibly is the hallmark of a civilized nation,” he commented. He urged citizens to demonstrate greater discipline while driving.
