The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi is spearheading a city-wide beautification initiative, focusing on enhancing parks, greenbelts, and public areas to foster a greener environment for residents. Under the guidance of PHA Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, extensive horticultural efforts are underway.
Parks and roadside green spaces are being adorned with colorful flowers and plants, alongside the continuous upkeep of city nurseries. This has brought a vibrant, spring-like atmosphere to Rawalpindi, drawing public admiration for the enhanced aesthetics.
Officials confirm that resources are being maximized to maintain clean, safe, and visually appealing public spaces. Several improvement projects are also in progress, aligned with the Punjab government’s objective of providing enhanced recreational amenities.
Under Ranjha’s leadership, daily plant and flower care is being prioritized, complemented by robust security measures in city parks to ensure a peaceful environment for visitors. PHA personnel are dedicatedly involved in these horticultural maintenance activities.
Ranjha stressed the importance of public convenience and enjoyment, stating that negligence will not be tolerated. He also highlighted an ongoing aggressive tree planting campaign to mitigate pollution and further enhance the city’s green cover. The PHA remains committed to making Rawalpindi a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful city for its inhabitants.
