Record development works carried out in district Gwadar: BAP leader

QUETTA:Naveed Kalmati, former minister and central leader of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) has said that record development work had been carried out in District Gwadar of Balochistan province during three-year-tenure of Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday with Parliamentary Secretary for Information, Bushra Rind, MPA Khalil George and others, he said that development work on different ongoing development projects of health sector including District Headquarter Hospital, Gwadar at the estimated cost of Rs250 million, Kidney center Gwadar with the estimated cost of Rs60 million, RHC Pasni with the estimated cost of Rs150 million and RHC Ormara with estimated cost of Rs50 million was in progress.

He added that among the ongoing development schemes of education sector were Government Boys College, Gwadar with the estimated cost of Rs140 million, Government Girls College, Gwadar with the estimated cost of Rs90 million, Rehabilitation of Government Boys College, Pasni with the estimated cost of Rs100 million, Government Girls College, Pasni with the estimated cost of Rs130 million, Ormara Boys College, Ormara Girls College with the estimated cost of Rs70 million, Pasni Library with the estimated cost of Rs15 million.

He added that Rs75 million had been reflected in the PSDP for football ground Pasni, adding that Rs 60 million had been allocated for construction of 4 Futsal grounds in Ormara, Pasni, Gwadar and Jewani. Kalmati said that Rs500 million had been reflected in the PSDP of the current fiscal year for construction of Shenzani Dam.

He said that work for construction of Fisherman Godi at east express way being executed by Gwadar Development Authority with the estimated cost of Rs1100 million was in progress. He said that Shadi Koor to Gwadar Pipe Line project being executed by Gwadar Development Authority with the estimated cost of Rs3500 was near to completion while the project of Gwadar internal water supply line upgradation with estimated cost of Rs1200 was in progress.

He said that in road sector, 15 different 1 to 3 kilometer road in different areas of Gwadar had been completed. Kalmati remarked that among the new projects reflected in the PSDP-2021-22 included construction of Assistant Commissioner’s office and Residency in Pasni with the estimated cost of Rs40 million, construction of 0.7 kilometer black top road from customs house to girls school Ormara with the estimated cost of Rs10.5 million, construction of black top road from Gazi Line to Hoth House, Tehsil Ormara with estimated cost of Rs15 million, Pishukhan internal black top road with the estimated cost of Rs45 million, construction of black top road from main bazar to Gori graveyard Pasni with the estimated cost of Rs27 million, construction of 17 kilometer black road from Phallary to Pishkan with the estimated cost of Rs110 million and construction of 3 kilometer black top road from Gazi line to Ormara with the estimated cost of Rs30 million.
