QUETTA:Red Workers Front (RWF) staged a protest demonstration outside Quetta Press Club here on Thursday in order to express solidarity with the ongoing protest movement “Gwadar Ko Huq Du” in Gwadar area of Balochistan province.
Addressing the protest demonstration, Karim Perhar, Central Secretary General, Red Workers Front (RWF) and others said protest sit-in of the people of Gwadar under the auspices of “Gwadar Ko Huq Du” for the genuine rights of the people of Gwadar had been in progress for the last one month, but the concerned authorities had turned a deaf ear to accede to the genuine demands of the people of Gwadar.
They said that ever since imperialist China had initiated work on CPEC projects, problems of the people of Gwadar had increased. They said that the residents of Grader were confronting multiple problems including pure drinking water, electricity, education and healthcare facilities. Demanding authorities to entertain the problems being faced by the people of Gwadar, they said that the office bearers and workers of RWF were standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of Gwadar. Chanting slogans in support of their demands, protesters dispersed peacefully.
