In a major effort to tackle the persistent traffic issues in District Central Karachi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Sunday initiated a major road infrastructure project in District Central, for which a sum of over 16 crore rupees has been allocated to provide relief to local residents.

Mayor Wahab, accompanied by Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad and other local leaders, laid the foundation stone for the extensive construction and rehabilitation work. The project targets the internal road networks of Union Committee No. 07 and 08, which are often affected by transportation difficulties.

According to the details announced by the Mayor, the total cost of the project is Rs 160,136,269. The scope of work includes the use of 50,000 cubic feet of material for road construction and carpeting over an area of 165,000 square feet.

Reiterating his administration’s priorities, Barrister Murtaza Wahab emphasized that providing comfort and convenience to the public is the top priority.
