A suspected robber was arrested in an injured condition on Saturday after an armed encounter with law enforcement personnel at Tanker Chowk near Garden Zoo.
An exchange of fire occurred between the police and the alleged suspects during the incident, resulting in the apprehension of one individual.
Authorities identified the detained individual as Shahzaib, son of Salman. He was arrested in an injured state following the shootout.
Personnel from the Garden Police Station seized a pistol with ammunition and a motorcycle from the scene.
The injured suspect has been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment, while a formal investigation into the matter has been launched.
