Safe City DG Warns of Departmental Action for Lax Performance

The Director General (DG) of Safe City has issued a stern directive linking officer performance directly to consequences, vowing that while commendable work will be recognised, unsatisfactory duty will result in departmental action.

The announcement was made by DG Muhammad Haroon Joiya during a gathering at his office convened to honour police officers for their outstanding performance and commitment. During the event, he presented the recognised personnel with certificates of commendation for their excellence, according to a report today.

Addressing the assembled officers, Joiya urged the entire force to continue performing their duties with the same spirit and devotion. He emphasised that serving with commitment is their foremost responsibility and a fundamental requirement of the oath they took upon joining the service.

The Director General further instructed all officers to carry out their responsibilities with vigilance, a profound sense of accountability, and complete honesty.

He concluded by reinforcing the merit-based approach, stating that superior performance from police officers will be appreciated, while individuals demonstrating poor or inadequate work will face disciplinary measures.
