Sahiwal Division’s first cardiac institute has started operations, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced on X (formerly Twitter). The facility’s catheterization laboratory, completed ahead of schedule, has already begun performing procedures, with five completed. Sharif said cardiac surgeries are set to begin next week. This new establishment means Sahiwal residents will no longer have to travel to Lahore for cardiac medical care.
