SAPM: (British airline Virgin Atlantic starts operations in Pakistan)

ISLAMABAD:British airline Virgin Atlantic has started its air operations in Pakistan.

According to details, the first flight of British airline Virgin Atlantic arrived in Islamabad on Friday.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) for overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukhari along with British High Commissioner Christian Turner welcomed Virgin Airlines at Islamabad Airport.

Speaking on the occasion, Zulfikar Bukhari said the revival of international airlines will boost trade and tourism in the country.

He said after British Airlines, Virgin Airlines is the second largest airline in the UK to launch a series of flights to Pakistan.

This will further enhance the scope of relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. The Special Assistant said the resumption of international airlines will boost trade and even trade ties between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

He said British airline Virgin Atlantic has been allowed to land eight flights a week. Virgin Atlantic will use modern Airbus A332 for Pakistan.
