Saudi Arabia’s Narcotics Control head, Shazain Bugti discuss issues of mutual interest

ISLAMABAD: The Director General of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr Mohammad Bin Seed Al-Qarni called on Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Nawbzada Shazain Bugti here on Monday.

The Federal Minister for Narcotics Control said that Pakistan highly values its relations with Saudi Arabia and considers it as a brotherly State. He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close bilateral, fraternal and historical cooperation in all fields.

“We really appreciate the generous support and sincere cooperation of the brotherly State during the recent flood”, the Minister added. He said the government and People of Pakistan would like to further diversify the bilateral cooperation beyond the economic domain to counter narcotics and anti-smuggling efforts between the two states.

The visiting dignitary said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are confident friends and brothers. He said their historical relationship is based on mutual respect and trust. He said Saudi Arabia has always taken and appreciated counter narcotics and anti-smuggling efforts and would like to play its role in this regard. Later on the Director General accompanied by his delegation held a meeting with various officials of the Ministry of Narcotics Control and discussed wide- ranging issues related to the field.
