KARACHI:The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$9,267.9 million as of 24-Feb-2023. The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:
According to SBP information, foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood US$ 3,814.1 million; Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks were recorded at US$5,453.8 million.
During the week ended on 24 Feb 2023, SBP received US$700 million as GoP commercial loan disbursement from China. After accounting for external debt repayments, SBP reserves increased by US$556 million to US$3,814.1 million.
