Search operation around churches across Punjab, police on high alert

Law enforcement agencies in Punjab have initiated extensive security measures, including search and sweep operations, around churches and Christian residential areas throughout the province as worshippers gather for prayer services.

Inspector General (IG) of Punjab Police, Abdul Karim, issued a directive today for all personnel deployed at these religious sites to remain on high alert during their duties.

In his statement, the provincial police chief emphasized that officers should maintain a strict watch for any mischievous elements and continue security search operations around places of worship, Christian neighborhoods, and other sensitive locations.

Furthermore, IG Abdul Karim appealed to scholars, members of peace committees, and the Christian community itself to actively promote and advocate for interfaith harmony.
