Second Edition of OIC Festival to kick off Wednesday in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, A delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) met at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates with a UAE team to finalize arrangements for the launch of the OIC festival to be hosted by the UAE on 24-27 April.

The two sides discussed the topics of the Festival, which will see broad participation of the Muslim countries that would take part in its various events and the cultural and intellectual fora to be held on the sidelines.

This edition of the Festival, under the theme “One Nation Unified by Benevolent Cooperation, Justice and Tolerance, aims to emphasize the lofty message and teachings of Islam in bringing together the different world cultures.

The four-day Festival would also raise global awareness of the Islamic culture and the OIC role in promoting cultural diversity and highlighting the multicultural elements of heritage, art, and talents in its Member States.

Mr. Yousef Al-Dubaie, Advisor to the OIC Secretary general for Political Affairs and Head of the Festival’s Higher Committee, headed the OIC delegation.
