KARACHI: Secretary Information Sindh, Rafique Ahmed Buriro, today surprisingly visited various sections of Information Department, Government of Sindh which included Directorate of Press Information, Admin and Accounts, Advertisement, Press, Films Publication, Legal, Planning and Development, Social Media, Research and Reference.
During the visit to Press Information, Director Press Information while giving briefing Rafique Ahmed Buriro regarding the working of his section informed that almost 215 applications for issuance of accreditation cards for the year 2021, received by Press information to date. He further informed that no any application form for issuance of accreditation card is lying pending.
The information secretary also met a cross section of media persons at the office of Director Press Information and ask about their problems. The Media persons lauded the efforts and working being carried out by Press Information Section and all sections of the department.
Buriro on the request of Director Press Information personally gave away some accreditation cards to the print and electronic media men. Later on, he went around, inspected in detail section by section of department and met all the heads of the directorates.
Buriro gave some instructions for reforms and streamlining of the various sections of the department and ordered on spot for accomplishment of urgent needs of various sections. He was accompanied by Syed Azeem Shah, Director Admin and Accounts, Muhammad Yousuf Kaboro, Deputy Director Admin and Accounts and other officers of the department during his visit.
