Security Alert in Sindh: Orders for Foolproof Measures for Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai’s Urs

The 282nd Urs of the renowned Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai commenced in Bhit Shah under tight security, aimed at ensuring peaceful celebrations. The event will continue from August 9 to August 11, with authorities closely monitoring the area to maintain law and order.

Sindh’s Interior Minister emphasized the importance of Shah Abdul Latif’s message and poetry, recognizing his pivotal role in transforming Sindh into a land of love and unity. The minister acknowledged the poet’s contribution to promoting brotherhood and peace, highlighting the significance of such spiritual figures in the province’s cultural identity.

Prioritizing security, Zia-ul-Haq Hassan Lanjhar stressed the need for comprehensive precautions at the police station level to protect the convoys attending the three-day Urs. He emphasized the necessity of increased vigilance at mosques, shrines, various religious sites, as well as public and government areas to ensure the safety of all participants.
