A young security guard was injured in the Bahadurabad area on Tuesday after his own gun accidentally discharged.
The incident occurred near Bazm Hotel at National Chowrangi. The guard was identified as 24-year-old Ali Raza, son of Muhammad Aslam, who was injured by his own bullet in the accident.
Rescue services shifted the injured person to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for immediate medical attention.
Officials of the Ferozabad police station in District East have confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the unintentional shooting incident.
