The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, today underscored the need for enhancing the effectiveness of reconciliation committees across all zones in the capital.
In a meeting held with the committee’s chairman and its members, the focus was firmly placed on improving the operational efficiency and impact of these groups.
During the gathering, a detailed briefing on the committee”s recent performance and ongoing efforts was presented. Discussions covered a range of subjects, including the committee’s operational strategies, measures implemented to address public grievances, and continued partnership with the local community.
DIG Islamabad praised the committee”s vital role in amicably settling disputes among residents, highlighting its contribution to alleviating the workload on police stations and promoting community policing. He emphasized the importance of making these committees more proactive, so citizens can access swift justice and have their concerns addressed efficiently.
He further reiterated the Islamabad Police”s dedication to resolving public issues, stating that under the guidance of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, reconciliation committees are pivotal in this mission.
