In a decisive move to bolster safety, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security, Atiq Tahir, has mandated stringent security protocols in Islamabad”s high security zone following directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. During a crucial meeting at his office, attended by senior police officials including SPs and DSPs, Tahir outlined the enhanced measures.
The DIG emphasized that safeguarding key buildings and dignitaries, both local and international, remains paramount. He asserted that personnel must be equipped with cutting-edge tools and that vehicles entering the Red Zone will undergo thorough checks, with non-essential vehicles denied access.
