In a significant move to bolster emergency medical response, healthcare professionals received crucial training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other life-saving techniques to effectively handle incidents of cardiac arrest and severe bleeding.
The comprehensive training session, held on Sunday at The Kidney Centre Landhi, was a collaborative effort by the Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI), The Kidney Centre Landhi, and the Pakistan Life Saving Program (PLSP).
Expert trainers from PLSP, Zulfiqar, Abdul Rehman, Naseerullah, and Alishba, provided both theoretical instruction and practical demonstrations, thoroughly training participants on providing emergency aid in case of a heart attack and controlling bleeding sites.
Addressing the participants, SESSI Vice Commissioner Sikandar Baloch congratulated Medical Superintendent Dr. Asim Raza, Dr. Hira, Dr. Faisal, and the entire Kidney Centre team for organizing the excellent seminar. He also directed the Training and Research Department to organize various training programs for employees in the future.
Medical Superintendent Dr. Asim Raza thanked all the physicians and participants and expressed his commitment to continuing this series of capacity-building initiatives.
The event was attended by Director Administration Dr. Danish, Director Public Relations and Training and Research Wasim Jamal, CMO Korangi Circle Dr. Anila Abbasi, and Deputy CMO Dr. Zahida. Deputy Medical Superintendent Landhi Hospital Dr. Zulfiqar, along with several doctors and paramedical staff from SESSI, were also present. The program was moderated by Dr. Hira.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Asim Raza presented commemorative shields and traditional Ajrak gifts to Vice Commissioner Sikandar Baloch, Wasim Jamal, Dr. Anila Abbasi, and the PLSP trainers. In response, Mr. Baloch presented shields on behalf of the Social Security Kidney Centre’s administration to the doctors and staff in recognition of their outstanding services.
