Sessions judge visits Chandka Hospital

LAHORE: District and Sessions Judge, Larkana, Syed Sharfuddin Shah, paid a surprise visit to the Emergency Department, Nephrology Department, Main Medical Store and Administration Block of Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Monday morning to inspect the regularity, punctuality of medics and paramedics, cleanliness and availability of medicines to the indoor patients.

He expressed his dissatisfaction over absent medics and paramedics who were detected habitual late comers and uncleanliness at the Casualty. He also asked for the Medical Superintendent (MS) and was told by Additional Medical Superintendent, Dr. Habib Soomro, that MS is on leave and again asked about his leave application. He said when MS is not present in the hospital how will the system work.

A woman patient complained to him during his visit to Nephrology Ward that she is waiting for dialysis as her condition is deteriorating. He directed the duty doctors to ensure her dialysis immediately. He also expressed his anger over uncleanliness in the dialysis section. Later he visited the transport section where he found a dysfunctional oxygen cylinder and air-conditioner in an ambulance for which he directed to get the same repaired. He also inspected the generator of the CMCH Civil Hospital block and found it operational after it was run by the operator.
