Due to the ongoing severe cold wave in Badin district, three people have tragically died in Talhar within 48 hours, raising concerns about public health.
The deceased have been identified as Abdul Rehman Jamali, a resident of Ward No. 4, and Muhammad Suleman Khatri of Ward No. 6. The third victim was Zulfiqar Ali Laghari, a young resident of the nearby village of Bhambhu Laghari.
It was reported that Zulfiqar Ali Laghari succumbed to the severe cold while working his shift at Bawani Sugar Mills.
Due to the persistent freezing weather, various illnesses have also increased, and according to reports, hundreds of local residents have fallen ill.
The situation became more critical as the Sindh Health Department failed to provide necessary medicines to government hospitals. This shortage is increasing the hardships of the region’s poor population, and many are deprived of basic medical care.S-PPI
