Shahbaz Sharif speaks to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman over phone, reiterates ‘complete solidarity’

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, during a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, strongly condemned the recent attacks on the kingdom and reiterated Pakistan’s ‘unequivocal support’ and ‘complete solidarity’ with Saudi Arabia. During the discussion, the Prime Minister detailed Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic outreach to all parties, urging de-escalation and the resolution of differences through dialogue.

The Saudi Crown Prince expressed his deep appreciation for Pakistan’s peace-making efforts.

Mr Sharif praised the Kingdom’s leadership for demonstrating ‘remarkable restraint’ in the current crisis. He reassured the Crown Prince that Pakistan would always stand by Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people, acknowledging their consistent support for Pakistan through thick and thin.

The Prime Minister called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and a return to normalcy to stabilise the regional situation.

He also appealed for unity and harmony within the ranks of the Ummah, stating that it was more necessary than ever before.

The conversation, described as warm and cordial, also served as an occasion for the two leaders to exchange heartfelt Eid ul Fitr greetings. The Prime Minister conveyed well wishes to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sentiments that were graciously reciprocated by the Crown Prince.
