The Department of Human Rights under the Government of Sindh has awarded a certificate of appreciation to Ms. Shehla Qureshi, Assistant Inspector General of Sindh Police, Gender Crimes, and Human Rights, in recognition of her outstanding services in the protection of human rights. The honor was presented by the Chief Minister’s Advisor on Human Rights, Raj Veer Singh Sodha, under the Sindh Human Rights Defender Appreciation Program.
Shehla Qureshi was commended for her remarkable efforts against gender-based violence and the effective implementation of the Trafficking in Persons Act, 2018. Additionally, her role in the implementation of the Sexual Offenders Registry Rules, 2023, has been significant. Raj Veer Singh Sodha has recommended Ms. Qureshi for advanced gender training opportunities abroad in recognition of her invaluable services.
