Due to the bullish trend in global commodity markets, the local market saw a sharp increase in the prices of gold and silver on Tuesday. The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 3,200, a significant single-day rise for the precious metal.
According to the latest data, the price of one tola of 24-karat gold settled at Rs 467,962. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs 2,743 to Rs 401,201.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also saw a significant increase, rising by Rs 2,514 to reach a new level of Rs 367,780.
This surge in the local market is consistent with the rise in the global market, where the international price of gold increased by $32 to $4,456.
Silver prices were not far behind in this upward trend. The per tola price of 24-karat silver closed at Rs 8,361 after an increase of Rs 338.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat silver rose by Rs 290 to Rs 7,168. The international price of silver also recorded a sharp increase of $3.38, closing the session at $78.86.
