Dozens of Sikh pilgrims from India will arrive in Pakistan through the Wagah border on Wednesday to pay homage to Guru Arjan Dev, a revered spiritual figure in Sikhism.
During their stay, the pilgrims will visit several gurdwaras, which are sacred places of worship for Sikhs. Key sites on their travel list include Gurdwara Janam Asthan Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism; Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad, where many believe Guru Nanak performed a significant miracle; and Panja Sahib in Hassan Abdal, known for its historical and religious significance.
Additionally, the pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit the Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Narowal, associated with the later years of Guru Nanak. Another notable site is Rorhi Sahib in Eminabad, Gujranwala, which holds historical importance for the Sikh community.
The centerpiece of the pilgrimage will be the main ceremony held at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore on the 16th of this month. Sikh pilgrims will complete their spiritual journey and return to India on the 19th of this month, marking the end of a profound and meaningful journey.
