Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the blast on the railway track in Shikarpur and ordered an immediate inquiry into the incident.
He directed to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured. The Chief Minister was informed that first aid is being provided to the affected passengers.
Shah was informed of the blast near Jhamra Wah in Shikarpur. The incident occurred at 10:20 am, resulting in three bogies of the Jaffar Express derailing.
The blast occurred when the train was passing by the track. Several people were injured, but fortunately, there were no casualties.
Rescue workers and law enforcement agencies are present at the site and relief operations are underway. Railway service has been affected and the departure of other trains has been temporarily halted.
The Chief Minister ordered the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the incident, calling the blast a crime against the nation and saying no one will be above the law.
