Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah arrived at the Shahid Hayat Police Training College in Saeedabad today, where he was warmly welcomed by a police squad.
He was received by Inspector General of Police Javed Alam Odho, Additional IG of the Counter-Terrorism Department Zulfiqar Larik, DIG Training Faizullah Korejo, Principal of the Training College SSP Adil Chandio, and other senior police officers.
The Chief Minister attended the 132nd Passing-Out Parade ceremony of the Police Recruit Training Course (Batch-5/2025) as the chief guest. The ceremony was attended by senior police officials, members of civil society, and distinguished guests.
Congratulating the administration on the successful organisation of the 132nd Passing-Out Parade, CM Murad inspected the parade while riding in a traditional open jeep. A smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute in his honour.
According to the spokesperson for the Sindh Chief Minister, the ceremony commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Police recruits took an oath reaffirming their commitment to serving the nation and upholding the rule of law.
The recruits presented impressive practical demonstrations showcasing their professional skills and training. The Chief Minister praised their enthusiasm, discipline, and professional capabilities.
Murad distributed awards and honorary shields among recruits who demonstrated outstanding performance. He was also presented with a commemorative shield during the ceremony.
Principal Shahid Hayat Police Training College SSP Adil Chandio delivered the welcome address, while IG Sindh Police congratulated the newly trained personnel and highlighted the significance of professional policing.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister Murad paid tribute to the role and services of the Sindh Police Force and reiterated the Sindh government’s commitment to modernising the police force.
“The Sindh Police has played a commendable role in maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and property of citizens,” he said. He emphasised that the Sindh Police remains prepared at all times to safeguard the public and expressed confidence that a modern, professionally trained police force would play a pivotal role in ensuring peace and security across the province.
The Chief Minister stressed that professionalism, integrity, and public service must become the defining characteristics of the Sindh Police. He reaffirmed his government’s commitment to enhancing the force’s capacity and providing it with modern facilities and resources.
He urged the newly recruited personnel to play their full role in strengthening the rule of law and promoting public trust in the police service.
Murad congratulated the graduating recruits and extended his best wishes for their bright future. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph of the Chief Minister alongside the recruits and senior police officers.
