Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning, and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah today emphasized the timely completion of all ongoing development projects under the Energy Department, with strict adherence to merit and transparency.

He conveyed these directives during a high-level review meeting held today, focusing on the department”s current projects and proposed schemes for the fiscal year 2025-26. The meeting included Chairman of Planning and Development Board Najam Ahmed Shah, Secretary of the Energy Department Mushtaq Ahmed Soomro, Project Director of SSEP Mahfooz Qazi, CEO of STDC Saleem Shaikh, and heads of several departments.

Relevant officers presented detailed updates on active development schemes within their departments. There was also a presentation on proposed projects for the fiscal year 2025-26.

The Minister instructed the removal of any obstacles hindering the implementation of ongoing projects. Additionally, a thorough review of the proposed schemes for the upcoming fiscal year was conducted.

Nasir Shah further directed that all legal and documentation processes for upcoming projects must be completed promptly. He also called for the preparation of budget proposals for incomplete projects supported by the World Bank to ensure their timely completion.

Najam Ahmed Shah pledged full support from his department for the planning and documentation of development schemes. He advised that in case of any issues, the technical team of the P and D department is available for assistance.
