The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) arrested two individuals, including a driver, and discarded 1000 liters of chemically produced milk during a major operation against food adulteration in Malir on Monday.
The operation targeted a vehicle in Shah Latif Town, which was transporting the hazardous substance. SFA officials confiscated the vehicle and its contents and discarded them on the spot.
Provincial Food Minister Makhdoom Mehboob Zaman confirmed the details of the raid, stating that the seized milk was “extremely dangerous for human health.”
Mr. Zaman vowed that such operations against the “adulteration mafia” will continue on a daily basis, enforced under a strict zero-tolerance policy by the provincial government.
He added that the provision of safe and quality food to citizens will be ensured at all costs and appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious and substandard food items to the Sindh Food Authority.
