Sindh government is committed to eliminating tuberculosis: Sindh Chief Minister

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has appealed to the public to seek immediate medical examination in case of any symptoms of tuberculosis (TB), stressing that with timely diagnosis, the disease is completely curable and the provincial government provides all diagnostic and treatment services free of cost.

In his message on Tuesday on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, the Chief Minister emphasized the Sindh government’s firm resolve to eliminate the disease from the province.

Mr. Shah explained that the purpose of observing this day annually is to enhance public awareness and to inform people about the serious health, social, and economic consequences associated with TB.

“Tuberculosis is a curable disease; timely diagnosis and treatment are crucial,” the provincial chief executive said, reiterating the availability of free facilities provided by his administration for all residents.

He appealed to the public to play an active role in the awareness campaign against tuberculosis, stressing that a collective effort is needed to combat this disease effectively.

Mr. Shah, outlining the ultimate goal in his administration’s public health strategy for this infectious disease, expressed his resolve, “Our goal is a healthy and TB-free Sindh.”
