Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi attended the Italian National Day reception as the chief guest, where he was warmly received by Italian Consul General Fabrizio Bielli and members of the diplomatic corps.
According to official information from the Governor House issued today, the event was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, consuls general from various countries, diplomats, and prominent members of the city’s business and civic community.
On the occasion, the Sindh Governor congratulated the Government and people of Italy and stated that relations between Pakistan and Italy are based on mutual respect, long-standing friendship, and constructive cooperation. He also expressed special appreciation for Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for raising her voice in support of the people of Gaza.
Hashmi emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, education, and culture, and stated that Sindh offers excellent opportunities and a conducive environment for Italian investors and the business community. He further underscored the importance of people-to-people contacts in strengthening Pakistan-Italy relations and reaffirmed his commitment to further enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
