Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi today stated that quality education forms the foundation of a bright, stable, and progressive future for Pakistan, adding that equipping the younger generation with modern knowledge and skills is the need of the hour.
He further said that ILMA University’s contribution to the education sector and its role in nurturing the talent and capabilities of youth are highly commendable.
He made these remarks during a meeting with ILMA University Pro Chancellor Dr. Hamid Tahir at the Governor House. The meeting included a detailed discussion on higher education, emerging technologies, the promotion of information technology, and the preparation of youth to meet future demands and challenges.
On the occasion, Pro Chancellor Dr Hamid Tahir informed the Governor of Sindh that ILMA University operates two active campuses in Korangi and Gulshan-e-Iqbal, with more than 6,000 students currently enrolled. He added that the university is taking effective measures to provide modern IT and technology-based education and to equip students with practical skills, as technical expertise and digital literacy have become indispensable in today’s world.
Dr Hamid Tahir also congratulated the Governor of Sindh on the successful completion of Hajj and extended his best wishes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Pro Chancellor of ILMA University presented a commemorative shield to the Governor of Sindh.
