Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has underscored the Prime Minister”s commitment to revitalizing Pakistan”s economy through the “Uraan Pakistan” initiative.
Addressing the National Islamic Economic Forum 2025, he emphasized the nation’s foundation on Islamic principles and the need to break free from IMF dependencies.
During his speech, Tessori commended Pakistan’s armed forces for their daylight defense against recent threats, contrasting it with India”s nocturnal assault that harmed civilians and a mosque. He highlighted Pakistan”s inception on the 27th of Ramadan, attributing its endurance to divine support.
Tessori lauded Chief of Army Staff General Hafiz Syed Asim Munir for his dual role in border defense and economic stabilization. He credited the Pakistan Army with showcasing the nation”s formidable defense.
He encouraged a shift towards a Shariahcompliant, interestfree economy, recognizing the forum”s potential to enhance the banking sector. Tessori advised focusing on the present rather than past grievances.
Stressing technology’s role, he warned against neglecting Artificial Intelligence, noting successful collaborations with Saylani Welfare Trust to train youth in AI skills.
Tessori also addressed national responsibilities, urging citizens to embrace their duties rather than blaming the government. He concluded by highlighting the necessity of a strong military, referencing Palestine as a cautionary example.
