Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting sports under the Governor’s Initiative, with a particular focus on the development of football.

According to a statement by the Sindh Governor House today, he stated this during a meeting with a 17-member delegation of Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana’s Under-17 football team and club officials at the Governor House.

The delegation briefed the Governor on the goals and mission of Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana, sharing that the football team is set to depart for Oman shortly, where it will play matches against various clubs. They highlighted the extensive sports facilities available at Naya Nazimabad for football and cricket, emphasizing the need for government support to further promote football.

Governor Sindh assured them of all possible cooperation and commended their efforts in fostering sportsmanship and youth engagement.

Later on, the team and officials visited historical landmarks within the Governor House, including the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s historic room, IT Marke, the Bell of Hope, and the Ration Drive. The club officials and players praised the ongoing projects under the Governor’s Initiative, terming them as exemplary.
