The Sindh government has initiated preparations to introduce a comprehensive Youth Card programme, aiming for a launch before June this year, which will provide a range of benefits including monthly stipends, educational support, and employment facilities to the province’s young people.
According to official information today, the directive to expedite the scheme was discussed in a high-level meeting at the Sindh Secretariat, chaired by the provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar. The minister instructed the Department of Sports to formulate the procedure for the card”s implementation.
During the session, which included Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar, Director Asad Ishaq, Chief Engineer Muhammad Aslam Mahar, and other officials, attendees were briefed on the preparations. Minister Mahar emphasised the need to develop a mechanism that ensures maximum benefits are delivered to the youth.
Mr Mahar stated that the initiative follows special instructions from Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He confirmed the card is designed to offer assistance in various sectors, including education, skills development, employment opportunities, scholarships, and sports facilities.
