Sindh home minister appreciates police for eliminating dangerous bandit

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar said on Sunday that the elimination of a dangerous bandit in Shah Latif Town and the successful operation against the gutka mafia in Quaidabad demonstrate the police’s professional competence.

According to the official information today, Mr Lanjar said that the timely and courageous actions of Malir Police were commendable, and the DIG, SSP Malir, and the entire police team deserve appreciation.

He said indiscriminate operations against criminals and social evils must continue under all circumstances while the absconding suspect should be arrested immediately, and his facilitators must be brought to justice.

Lanjar said the best possible medical treatment and healthcare facilities must be ensured for the police personnel injured during the exchange of fire. Police officers and personnel fighting on the front line against crime are the pride of the entire nation, says the home minister, says the minster.

He said: “Their sacrifices will not go in vain. The operations against the network involved in the gutka and mawa business should be intensified further. No one will be granted any leniency.”

The home minister said that the SSP Malir and his entire team demonstrated outstanding performance by adopting an effective strategy against criminal elements. The zero-tolerance policy against criminals, street offenders, and the narcotics and gutka mafia would continue to be implemented to maintain law and order in Sindh, he concluded.
