Sindh Sees Rapid Progress on BRT Yellow Line, Circular Railway Rehabilitation Planned

The BRT Yellow Line project is advancing towards swift completion and plans are being formulated for the rehabilitation of the Karachi Circular Railway, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced on Tuesday.

In a formal statement, the Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit asserted that the benefits of the provincial government’s development schemes have started to reach the public, with vigorous steps taken to enhance facilities and public works.

He stated that providing modern and dignified travel amenities for citizens remains a key priority for the Sindh administration, which has initiated large-scale work to upgrade the city’s roads and foundational structures.

Mr. Memon noted that road construction in various parts of the metropolis has either been completed or is ongoing. He added that ventures for the building and refurbishment of highways, flyovers, and underpasses, as well as improvements to the drainage network, are currently in progress.

The minister also said that economic activity is being stimulated through the expansion of industrial zones and the promotion of commercial enterprises, which are supported by the infrastructural enhancements.

He concluded that the government’s objective is not simply to announce initiatives but to guarantee their timely execution to ensure the public receives tangible relief.
