On the occasion of World Oceans Day, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to protecting the marine ecosystem and aquatic life for the benefit of future generations.
The coastal areas of Sindh, including the important Indus River Delta, are recognized as invaluable natural resources. Oceans play a crucial role in sustaining life on Earth, producing more than 50% of the planet’s oxygen and providing food, employment, and environmental stability to millions of people worldwide.
The Sindh government is actively engaged in protecting the coastal environment, including safeguarding mangrove forests, reducing pollution, and promoting sustainable environmental practices.
Chief Minister Shah emphasized collective action to maintain the health and safety of these marine habitats, highlighting the interconnection between ocean development, a healthy planet, and a sustainable future.
