SMIU VC Inspects Examination Centres

Dr Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), visited the final-term examination centres at SMIU on Wednesday.

He was accompanied by the Deans, Dr. Jamshed Adil Halepoto, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan, and Dr. Stephen John; the Controller of Examinations, Mr. Furqan Iftikhar; and the Registrar, Ghulam Mustafa Shaikh.

During the visit, Dr Sahrai said that there is intense global-level competition today, and students must prepare themselves, work hard, and develop expertise in their respective subjects instead of wasting time. He further stated that this is an era of heightened competition, in which students who resort to cheating cannot progress in any way or succeed in any field. He maintained that students who cheat in examinations are, in fact, compromising their own future.

The Vice Chancellor said that the purpose of examinations is to assess the knowledge and understanding of students and to evaluate how well they have grasped their subjects.

Dr Sahrai also interacted with the students regarding their subjects and examinations. He appreciated the hard work and efforts of the Deans, faculty members, Controller of Examinations, and other concerned departments of SMIU for conducting the examinations in a smooth and orderly manner.
