The Karachi Tennis Association is going to host the second Sohail University National Seniors and Juniors Tennis Championship starting on June 6, 2026. This eagerly awaited tournament will be held at Karachi’s Modern Club Tennis Courts and will showcase the nation’s best tennis talents.
Organized under the auspices of the Pakistan Tennis Federation and Sindh Tennis Association, this championship is supported by Sohail University, which is its main sponsor. The event is designed for both senior and junior talents, featuring various competitions aimed at fostering competitive spirit across different age groups.
The junior category includes boys’ and girls’ under 18 singles and doubles, boys’ and girls’ under 14 singles and doubles, boys’ under 12 singles, and girls’ under 12 singles. Additionally, senior participants will compete in the 45 plus and 55 plus doubles categories.
A prize fund of 150,000 rupees has been allocated for those who perform exceptionally well in the junior national competitions, providing significant motivation for young players. As per the Pakistan Tennis Federation’s guidelines, all junior participants who qualify for the main draw will receive economy class rail fare for travel to and from the championship venue.
The event will also include Sindh ranking competitions, featuring men’s singles and doubles categories and various age-specific singles events for younger children. These include under 10, under 8, and under 6 boys and girls singles, utilizing smart bounce modified balls according to different age capabilities.
Prospective participants must submit their entries by June 3, 2026, to ensure participation in this prestigious tournament. With the championship’s reputation for high-quality competition, players, coaches, and tennis enthusiasts are gearing up for a week of thrilling contests and the splendor of the sport.
