SPLA protests against biometrics

LARKANA::Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association (SPLA) leaders have strongly condemned the aristocratic attitude of one employee Rashid Khsoo of Director General’s office who visited Pir Jo Goth Government Girls College for biometrics of teachers and other employees.

They held a meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. Lal Bux Kalhoro here on Thursday in which they stated that SPLA has already rejected biometrics of the teachers which they considered no confidence in a BPS-20 Principal. They said that it is a disgrace to the teachers that they should stand in a queue for biometrics with peons. They said there is no concept of ghost teachers in the college adding nor such practice is existing either in primary or secondary schools.

They said that they are of the view that a machine which is available in the open market for Rs20,000 has been procured at Rs80,000 which is an open corruption and urged the secretary, college education, Syed Khalid Haider Shah to take notice of this embezzlement of taxpayer’s funds, remove Rashid Khoso and Khalid Rajper immediately.

They asked how and in which capacity Rashid Khoso is committing harassment of lady teachers of Girls Colleges. They said Khoso not only harassed lady professor in Pir Jo Goth Girls College but also terrorized them which they strongly condemn.

They warned that if Khoso and company again interfered in any girl’s college they would not be spared. They said those will henceforth enter colleges who have authority adding if people like Khoso did not refrain then SPLA will resort to protest demonstrations across Sindh. Professors Shahbuddin Mangan, Malhar Sindhi and others participated in the meeting.
