Sports: Cricket: Mushtaq Ahmed pleads to donate for PM Covid-19 Relief Fund

Karachi:Pakistan’s former spin wizard Mushtaq Ahmed has requested cricketers and people to donate to Prime Minister Covid-19 Pandemic Relief Fund as it was the time for the nation to unite to fight the virus.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has setup the fund so that the crisis due to the pandemic coronavirus can be alleviated. “Allah loves people and nations that help others so I would request players and people to donate to Imran Khan’s fund. I can tell that Imran Khan is an honest person,” Mushtaq said in a video he posted on social media platform Twitter.

He praised Imran Khan for donating all his money he received from World Series in 1989 and World Cup 1992 for cancer hospital that eventually saw the daylight to become Pakistan’s first-ever cancer hospital.

Mushtaq Ahmed further said that it was the time for all people to come together and extend helping hands. He also requested political figures not to consider this grave situation as an opportunity to score points against political opponents, which happens to be in the government.

“It is the time that all people, all politicians and anchors (news anchors), come together for Pakistan and serve the country and Allah will save us from this epidemic,” he added.
