Startups – NIC Hyderabad Celebrates Graduation Of 32 Startups

The National Incubation Center (NIC) Hyderabad, an Ignite project under the Ministry of IT and Telecom, commemorated a dual achievement: the graduation of 32 startups and its third anniversary. Established three years prior, NIC Hyderabad has evolved into a prominent center for innovation, enterprise, and employment creation in the area, solidifying Hyderabad”s position in Pakistan”s digital landscape.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, served as the Chief Guest, accompanied by high-ranking officials from the Ministry, Ignite, LMKT, PTCL, educational institutions, and the commercial sector. Emphasizing the administration”s dedication to the Prime Minister’s Digital Nation Vision, Minister Khawaja stated that the graduating startups demonstrate the aptitude and determination of Pakistani youth. These businesspeople are molding the nation”s digital future by stimulating economic expansion, creating employment, and showcasing Pakistani innovation globally.

Mr. Rafique Ahmed Buriro, CEO of Ignite, affirmed that NIC Hyderabad demonstrates that entrepreneurial endeavors can thrive outside major metropolitan areas. Ignite, he added, is dedicated to fostering distributed innovation and backing startups that generate employment and develop globally applicable solutions across Pakistan.

Asim Ishaq Khan, Vice President of LMKT, highlighted that Hyderabad-based startups are expanding throughout Pakistan and internationally. Sayed Sana Shah, Project Director of NIC Hyderabad, reviewed the center”s progress, stating that over 150 startups have been incubated, producing PKR 1 billion in income, securing PKR 470 million in investments, and generating over 4,100 positions in just three years.

The graduation event recognized the perseverance and ingenuity of 32 startups. Since its inception, NIC Hyderabad has assisted over 150 startups, resulting in over PKR 1 billion in earnings, securing PKR 470 million in investments, and creating more than 4,100 jobs. The event served as a demonstration of the government”s dedication to empowering young people through technology and innovation, aligning with the Prime Minister”s objective of a knowledge-based digital economy.
